Hamburg SV forward Mohamed Zidan has been ruled out of Egypt's 2010 World Cup African qualifier against DR Congo through injury.
Zidan has been suffering from pelvic pains and Egypt's technical staff has decided to give him time to rest and recuperate.
The Hamburg ace left Egypt's camp in Alexandria on Monday to undergo some tests and x-rays.
He is the second player to pull out of Egypt's squad for the DR Congo game through injury after playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika.
Meanwhile, Zamalek and ENPPI's players joined their national teammates in Alexandria after playing the Egyptian Cup final on Sunday evening.
Zamalek edged past ENPPI with a 2-1 to register their 21st cup title.
Zamalek's Amr Zaki, Mohamed Abdul-Monsef, Mohamed Ibrahim, Shikabala, and Mahmoud Fathallah and ENPPI's Ahmed Al-Muhammadi, Abdul-Aziz Tawfik, Islam Awad, and Ahmed Raouf all made it to the Egypt camp.
The DR Congo game that will take place on Friday will be the first for African champions Egypt in their Group 12 of the 2010 World Cup preliminary African qualifiers which also includes Djibouti and Malawi.

D'apres le site egyptien, les probables 11 de departs dont ils ne semblent pas etre trop surs de leur lcub d'appartenance:
The main issue ya GP was the time, as you noticed the schedule of last few weeks of the league following the ACN were so tight; a game every four days.
Any stoppage to that tight schedule could have meant that the season would be completed after the 4 WCQ games, late June or early July, since the new season will start inshaALLAH in July with the group games of Ahly x Zamalek game, then it is much safer to finish the whole season in May as it was without any delays or stoppages for friendly games.
And yes, I am quite disappointed with Zidan, it is obvious that needed to focus on his next prospective move to Dortmund!
If we look at the anticipated 11 starters, we can see that most of them are quite unsure on which team they will play for this upcominf season, which puts a lot of distraction and stress on their minds
1- Essam El7adary - Unsure (Seon - Leyonn?)
2- Mo7ammadi - Unsure (Enppi - Gent - Berlin?)
3- Gomaa - Unsure (Ahly - Gulf)?
4- Fat7aALLAH - Relatively sure Zamalek, however rumours about French Deals?
5- Hany Said - Unsure - (Ismaily - France?)
6- A.Samir Farag - Unsure (Ismaily - France?)
7- Hosny Abd Rabbo - Absolute Unsure?
8- Hossam Ghaly - Absolute Unsure?
9- Ahmed Hassan - The only player on the team who knows where he is heading, where his destination will InshaALLAH be
10- Shikabala - Unsure 9Zamalek - Paok - Other?)
11- Emad Met3eb - Unsure (Ahly - Europe?)
12 - Amr Zaki - Unsure (Zamalek - Wigan?)
From that almost the whole team's minds are distracted with unknown future deals, I hope they do not start showing off on an official WCQ game like the one os Sunday.
