Former Orlando Pirates striker Blaise Lelo-Mbele has been turned down by French club Monaco after a trial at the Ligue 1 outfit this week.
Lelo-Mbele has now moved onto another top flight French club, Auxerre for further tests as the transfer window approaches its deadline at the end of the month.
Monaco said Lelo-Mbele had trained with their reserve side, but did not have qualities better than that of their existing strikers.
After being discarded by Pirates one year ago, he signed for Sfaxien and his six goals in the Confederations Cup, including against Mamelodi Sundowns, saw the Tunisians easily win the continental trophy.
