AFRICAN club champions TP Mazembe have lured Chipolopolo goalkeeper Kalililo Kakonje on a one year deal.
Kakonje, who has spent the last five months at the Democratic Republic of Congo side, said in an interview that his season-long deal is effective next month.
"Everything is okay now and I am heading to Mazembe," Kakonje said. "I will only spend a season there. Initially, it is just for one year and later we shall see how it goes."
Kakonje has been clubless since South African Premier Soccer League side Amazulu released him at the end of the 2009/2010 season in August.
The Chipolopolo second choice custodian will join TP Mazembe for pre-season early next month together with compatriot Rainford Kalaba.
"I did not go with the team to Abu Dhabi for the FIFA World Cup because I was not registered," he said.
"Pre-season training begins on the 5th of January and I will travel on the 4th to join the team in Congo."
This will be Muculmana's debut outing in CAF continental club competition after winning their first-ever league title this season just three years after they were promoted to Moçambola.
The Maputo-based team, who are sponsored by the local Islamic community in Maputo, is scheduled to leave for a 21-day training camp in South Africa after the festive season to prepare for their match against Zesco.
Muculmana, who began their pre-season training on December 13, will set up camp in Benoni east of Johannesburg and have already secured one friendly match against South African Premier Soccer League club Bid Vest Wits.
