Nigeria: Enyimba Urges Vita's Sanction

Lagos — Enyimba has asked the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to sanction AS Vita Club for poor conduct after the Nigerian side overturned a three-goal deficit to qualify for the fourth round of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.
"We will make an official protest to CAF over the lack of sportsmanship displayed by Vita. They never showed any spirit of sportsmanship during their stay in Nigeria," said Enyimba chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu.
"We are confident they won't go unpunished."
The two-time CAF Champions League winners fell 3-0 in DRC two weeks ago, only to come home to the eastern Nigerian town of Aba and cancel all the goals, before completing a superb comeback with a 5-4 victory in sudden-death penalty shootout.
Uche Kalu netted a brace and Junior Osagie fired a third goal for Enyimba, before penalty-stopping goalkeeper, Chijoke Ejiogu emerged the hero during the penalty shootout.
The Nigerian team also had to stage a comeback in the previous round of the competition against Angola's Academica.
Nigeria's other flag bearers in the Confederation Cup, Warri Wolves, crashed out in Zimbabwe after losing 2-0 to hosts Caps United at the Rufaro Stadium in Harare.
Warri Wolves was, therefore, eliminated 3-2 on aggregate after winning the first leg in Warri 2-1.
